L2 Creative Activity: Personal Bio
Overview
This creative activity is pretty straight-forward. You are simply creating a personal biography that will be posted on your team’s Weebly site in the “About us” or “Meet Our People” section.
Task
Each person on the team should have a bio posted on the website. Length will vary and you can write your bios in bullet or paragraph style. I encourage teams to coordinate on style for consistency.
Your bio should include information such as:
- Name (photo and hometown optional)
- Major and area of interest + minor or other active academic pursuits
- Career aspirations
- Personal selling points such as best qualities, advantages of working with you, problems you have solved or contributions you have made, special skills you bring to the table, attributes that make you unique.
Steps:
- Write your bio
- Upload your bio and photo/avatar to your team’s Weebly page in the About or Meet our People section
- Turn it in on Blackboard as text, pdf, or .docx
Grading Criteria
Students will be graded for completion of the task with an emphasis in following instructions, overall quality, completeness, accuracy, and presentation value.
